# NightOwl > Self-hosted monitoring dashboard for Laravel Nightwatch. NightOwl writes the same Nightwatch telemetry (requests, queries, exceptions, jobs, cache, mail, scheduled tasks, outgoing requests, users, logs) to a PostgreSQL database you control, with a hosted dashboard on top. Flat $5/mo Hobby, $15/mo Team, or $69/mo Agency, with no per-event, per-seat, or per-host fees. NightOwl is a drop-in alternative to the Nightwatch Cloud dashboard for teams who want their telemetry in their own PostgreSQL (BYOD). It is commercially supported software, not open source, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card required. It is built for Laravel 10+ / PHP 8.2+ and uses the official `laravel/nightwatch` package as its instrumentation layer; install with `composer require nightowl/agent` then `php artisan nightowl:install`. Published benchmark: 13,400 payloads per second of ingest on a single instance. What NightOwl is not: it is not a replacement for the Nightwatch Laravel package (it runs alongside it), not a generic APM like Sentry or Datadog (it is Laravel-specific and does not cover other languages), and not a log-only tool (it covers the full Nightwatch feature surface across 10+ watcher categories). Pricing is flat and does not scale with traffic, event count, team size, or retention. Hobby is $5/month (1 connected app, 14-day lookback). Team is $15/month (up to 3 apps, up to 3 teams of 5 members, unlimited lookback, agent health monitoring, MCP server). Agency is $69/month (unlimited apps, teams, and members). The trial is 14 days and needs no credit card. ## Product - [Home](https://usenightowl.com/): what NightOwl is, the feature surface, and pricing - [Pricing](https://usenightowl.com/pricing/): the three flat tiers in detail - [Self-hosted license](https://usenightowl.com/self-hosted/): perpetual on-premise option ## Compare - [NightOwl vs Sentry](https://usenightowl.com/compare/sentry/): Laravel-native APM vs error tracking - [NightOwl vs Datadog](https://usenightowl.com/compare/datadog/): flat pricing vs usage-based observability - [NightOwl vs New Relic](https://usenightowl.com/compare/new-relic/): owned data vs data-ingest pricing - [NightOwl vs Scout APM](https://usenightowl.com/compare/scout-apm/) - [NightOwl vs Bugsnag](https://usenightowl.com/compare/bugsnag/) - [NightOwl vs Honeybadger](https://usenightowl.com/compare/honeybadger/) - [NightOwl vs Flare](https://usenightowl.com/compare/flare/): full APM vs exception-only - [NightOwl vs Laravel Telescope](https://usenightowl.com/compare/laravel-telescope/): production monitoring vs local debugger - [NightOwl vs Inspector.dev](https://usenightowl.com/compare/inspector-dev/) - [NightOwl vs Better Stack](https://usenightowl.com/compare/better-stack/) - [Compare hub](https://usenightowl.com/compare/): all head-to-head comparisons ## Migrate - [From Nightwatch Cloud](https://usenightowl.com/migrate/nightwatch-cloud/): keep the package, change the destination - [From Sentry](https://usenightowl.com/migrate/sentry/) - [From New Relic](https://usenightowl.com/migrate/new-relic/) - [From Flare](https://usenightowl.com/migrate/flare/) - [From Bugsnag](https://usenightowl.com/migrate/bugsnag/) - [From Laravel Telescope](https://usenightowl.com/migrate/laravel-telescope/) - [Migrate hub](https://usenightowl.com/migrate/): all migration guides ## Alternatives - [Best Laravel monitoring tools](https://usenightowl.com/alternatives/laravel-monitoring/): self-hosted and SaaS, ranked - [Best Nightwatch alternatives](https://usenightowl.com/alternatives/best-nightwatch-alternative/) - [Self-hosted Nightwatch alternatives](https://usenightowl.com/alternatives/nightwatch-cloud/) - [Best Sentry alternatives for Laravel](https://usenightowl.com/alternatives/best-sentry-alternative-laravel/) - [Cheapest Laravel APM](https://usenightowl.com/alternatives/cheapest-laravel-apm/) - [Open-source Laravel APM](https://usenightowl.com/alternatives/open-source-laravel-apm/) - [Self-hosted Laravel APM](https://usenightowl.com/alternatives/self-hosted-laravel-apm/) - [Alternatives hub](https://usenightowl.com/alternatives/): all ranked guides ## Guides - [Monitor Laravel in production](https://usenightowl.com/guides/how-to-monitor-laravel-in-production/) - [Laravel exception tracking](https://usenightowl.com/guides/laravel-exception-tracking/) - [Detect N+1 queries](https://usenightowl.com/guides/detect-n-plus-one-queries-laravel/) - [Find slow endpoints](https://usenightowl.com/guides/how-to-find-slow-endpoints-laravel/) - [Laravel slow query monitoring](https://usenightowl.com/guides/laravel-slow-query-monitoring/) - [Failed job monitoring](https://usenightowl.com/guides/laravel-failed-job-monitoring/) - [NightOwl MCP server](https://usenightowl.com/guides/nightowl-mcp-server/) - [Guides hub](https://usenightowl.com/guides/): all how-to guides ## Concepts - [What is APM?](https://usenightowl.com/learn/what-is-apm/) - [What is observability?](https://usenightowl.com/learn/what-is-observability/) - [N+1 queries](https://usenightowl.com/learn/n-plus-one-queries/) - [p95 vs p99 latency](https://usenightowl.com/learn/p95-vs-p99-latency/) - [Exception fingerprinting](https://usenightowl.com/learn/exception-fingerprinting/) - [What is a trace?](https://usenightowl.com/learn/what-is-a-trace/) - [Concepts hub](https://usenightowl.com/learn/): the full Laravel monitoring glossary ## Optional - [Documentation](https://docs.usenightowl.com): setup and configuration - [Privacy policy](https://usenightowl.com/privacy/) - [Terms of service](https://usenightowl.com/terms/) - [Subprocessors](https://usenightowl.com/subprocessors/) - [Support](mailto:support@usenightowl.com): email for questions and corrections
